For the project titled "Branches From One Root E.P.," we were commissioned to design the cover for music recording artist Jah Shepherd. Given Jah Shepherd's focus on political history, particularly within Jamaican and Ethiopian contexts, our task was to create artwork that visually communicates the intertwined narratives of these two nations. Jah Shepherd's music, characterized by storytelling and poetic elements, serves as a platform to delve into the political histories of Jamaica and Ethiopia. Our goal was to craft a visually compelling cover that not only represents the thematic depth of the EP but also resonates with audiences interested in the political histories of these countries. Through collaboration and careful consideration of the project's themes, we aimed to produce artwork that embodies the essence of Jah Shepherd's music while engaging listeners with its evocative portrayal of historical narratives.
